Cline is Professor of Classics and Anthropology, Director of the Capitol Archaeological Institute, and former Chair of the Department of Classical and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at GWU in Washington, DC. He is also an active field archaeologist with more than 30 seasons of excavations and surveys in Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Cyprus, and Greece.
The BAS Scholars Series is a quarterly program of the Biblical Archaeology Society, a nonprofit educational organization that bridges the gap between academia and the public in the field of biblical archaeology.
